Underwater People

has been a hard-working popular band in the Chicago area for over twenty years. The band has performed at countless street festivals and most every live music club in Chicagoland. They've also headlined many of Chicago's most famous music venues including, the House of Blues, the Park West, the Vic, and Navy Pier's Skyline Stage.

Along with their public performances, Underwater People has entertained tens of thousands of people at hundreds of private events including; weddings, major corporate conventions, fundraisers and post-race parties for events such as the Chicago Marathon, the Shamrock Shuffle and the Chicago (world's largest) Triathlon (for 7 years in a row!). One of the band's most memorable performances was right on home plate at Wrigley Field!

The band's music is a vocal based blend of many different styles with an emphasis on cool pop and rock. They've been best described as "a band of people pleasing chameleons" who can play songs from many musical genres. During the course of a performance you might hear songs by U2, Mumford & Sons, Jack Johnson, Katy Perry, Bob Marley, Paul Simon, Tom Petty, Elvis . . . .  The band has also released three CD's of original material that have sold in excess of 15,000 copies just from the stage.

Do you also like country music? Underwater People has an alter ego that they can perform as called Country Sky Band. Check out videos of both bands HERE.

Either way, the emphasis of every show remains on having fun and pleasing the audience. There are no pretentious rock & roll attitudes in this band; just a group of amiable professionals who realized a long time ago that they are performing for the audience and not themselves. The great part is that they're passionate about, and love, doing just that.
